Experiences
It’s easy, very easy to have fun on the Costa Brava. By day, by night … There are activities of all kinds, for all tastes and for all kinds of people.
We could not stop recommending the Costa Brava beaches, not only for being beautiful but also having everything to spend a while or even a whole day of luxury.
In most of the coastal villages in the area, you can choose between long sandy beaches and near the center, or discover the small hidden and hidden coves that shelter the surroundings.
Blanes, Estartit, Tamariu, Palamós … Point out a place on the map, and have fun discovering it!
The Natural Park of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà, was created in 1983. 80% of the territory is privately owned, and occupies almost 5,000 hectares. More than 800 of all these hectares are integral natural reserve.
This area is declared as a Natural Park basically for two reasons: one of them is to conserve and improve the natural systems. In addition and in the same way, to make the conservation of the environment compatible with economic development.
This Way is easily recognizable by a path of two horizontal lines one white and the other red. It is the most famous, the longest, and the most beautiful to perform, with places around you that will steal your heart at every step. From the hand of your partner, you can walk this Camino de Ronda enjoying the sights, the sounds, and the smell of nature and sea.
It is easy to walk, starting with Llafranc, passing through Calella and ending at Cap Roig. Most of its trails are narrow and totally suitable for circulation. It has slopes, continuous ups and downs, and also, sometimes, we will walk through completely flat stretches.
However, if you feel like giving continuity to this Camino along the Costa Brava, there are two possibilities: the linear and the circular way. The first consists of 43 km. starting in the town of Sant Feliu de Guíxols and ending in Begur, and the second circular, of 140 km. that begins and ends in Girona.
We highlight this beautiful corner that is in the middle of the Camino de Ronda, in its linear route. La Cala s’Alguer is a beautiful cove, small and cozy, surrounded by old fishermen’s cottages. The whole environment is charming, which is easy not to fall in love and want time to stop.
The best way to go to this place is to go to the beach of El Castell (belonging to Palamós). The best idea once here is to leave the car in the parking lot that is a few meters above and take the Camino de Ronda that starts at the end of the beach. After a short walk of about twenty minutes we came across Cala S’Alguer.
The sports that are most practiced in the Costa Brava are, undoubtedly, those that involve water. Therefore, sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, sea kayaking, even water skiing, are highly acclaimed among people who visit the area looking for new experiences and practice new sports.
If you like diving, be sure to try some class to do diving or snorkeling, those who have practiced it assure that it is a tremendous experience.
If what you want directly is to download adrenaline, there are some parks exclusively designed for it. For example, the Adventure Parc park, located in Pals and Playa d’Aro, is ideal for this. It has zip lines, vacuum jumps, ropes, nets, and more than 80 activities that are performed suspended in the air.
Another attractive option if you like are the Karts. For Costa Brava you will find more than one place to have fun in them. For example, the Karts of L’Escala “Go Karts” have more than 30 years of experience and you can enjoy it as if you were in a Formula 1 race. The winner can climb a podium and raise his trophy.
If you want a different and daring activity, we recommend you visit the flight simulator of l’Empuriabrava. The generated current of air reaches 300 kilometers per hour, so that practically any body – not to say any body – will be easily lifted in the air and you can get an idea of what it feels like with a parachute jump.
If you feel ready, you can also take the big leap! You will find parachuting companies with which you can fulfill that dream and parachute while you witness incredible views unreachable by many.
Already just to see its fascinating building is worth approaching. It has giant eggs, huge golden statues on the roof, a spectacular glass dome and its typical pink turret.
What to see in the Dalí Museum is a question that does not make sense, because if you enter the Dalí Museum you have to go through it, getting lost its gardens and the corners of its rooms. You will find an outdoor stage, or a Cadillac in the middle of a patio. In short, you will see in your passage through this Museum all kinds of picturesque things that will make you question the world in which we live and its supposed logic.
To whet your appetite, we leave here the link to the website of the Museum. This way it will be much easier to prepare your visit and get an idea of what you are going to live.
